Candlestick Banksia (Banksia attenuata)

This plant has adapted perfectly to its environment in Australia. Not only can it regenerate after a bush fire but it is pollinated not by insects but by the marsupial the known as the honey possum.

Taken from Levon's latest body of work titled The Hidden Beauty of Seeds and Fruits, these macro photographs display the Carpology collection of the Royal Botanic Garden Edinburgh.
